Mary Lynn Tedesco, Esq.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Attorney Mary Lynn Tedesco has been working with immigrants since 2010. She is proud to establish Tedesco Legal, P.C. to provide comprehensive legal services to a wide range of clients.
As Senior Attorney with a top boutique immigration firm, Mary Lynn Tedesco gained experience and showcased her legal abilities representing clients in removal proceedings, before USCIS, before federal courts, and before US Embassies all over the world. On behalf of previous clients, Mary Lynn Tedesco has won cases of asylum and withholding of removal, protection under the UN Convention Against Torture, permanent residency, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (including predicate family court custody orders), termination of removal proceedings due to improper allegations of fraud and criminal removability statutes, numerous waivers, and more. Mary Lynn Tedesco is particularly interested in complex matters of statutory interpretation, and where criminal and immigration law intersect.
Mary Lynn Tedesco earned her Juris Doctorate at Seton University School of Law in 2014 and a Bachelor of Arts with a double concentration in Political Theory and Spanish for International Service from The Catholic University of America in 2011. Mary Lynn Tedesco spent considerable time training in immigration law in addition to her studies. While attending Seton Hall Law, Mary Lynn Tedesco wrote a scholarly composition arguing in favor of international prosecution and intervention by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in connection with El Salvador's gang problem. At The Catholic University of America, Mary Lynn Tedesco authored her thesis and won an award of distinction for her paper entitled "Asilo basado en la violencia de la Mara Salvatrucha" ("Asylum based on the violence of the Mara Salvatrucha gang"). Mary Lynn Tedesco employs the knowledge she accumulated over the course of her studies on behalf of her clients and is passionate about protecting their rights.
Outside of her legal practice, Mary Lynn Tedesco and her husband, Jonathan, enjoy spending time outdoors with their daughter, Joanna, and rescue dog, Clara. Attorney Mary Lynn Tedesco is also on staff as an Alto with the music ministry at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dilworth.
Attorney Mary Lynn Tedesco is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and North Carolina, as well as before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Carolinas Chapter, where she serves as a member of the EOIR/OCC Liaison Committee (2020 to 2022), the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, and North Carolina Advocates For Justice (NCAJ), where she serves as the Legal Affairs Chairwoman for the Immigration Section.
